First, you will access our child observation tool: the WATCH ME GROW™ Observation Assessment. The Observation Assessment is a questionnaire that has been developed for your baby's particular age.
Your answers to a series of questions about your baby's actions and reactions to simple playtime events are noted by you online in the relaxed comfort of your own home.
You're simply asked to make observations about what skills and behaviors your baby has already developed, based on our age-group computer model queries.
The Obervation Assessment is then submitted and the WATCH ME GROW™ services begin. (You can access the Observation Assessment anytime through your account, and print it to share with your baby's physician or another family member.)
The Observation Assessment is computer analyzed to discover what activities will be most beneficial for your child. You'll then receive your first WATCH ME GROW™ individualized activities, tailored specifically for your child.
The individualized activities not only gives you activities to do with your child, but explains how to do them. The activities are designed to be happy, playtime events. These daily fun moments can immediately start your baby learning in the best possible way.
Then, each month for the next five months you'll receive new individualized activities. The activities are adjusted monthly as your child matures.
They focus on needed tasks and skills to enhance your baby's level of development... physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
After you've completed the initial six-month program, you'll be given the opportunity to look at your child's progress by enrolling in the next phase of the WATCH ME GROW™ program.
Doing this program doesn't take up much of your valuable time (just 15 minutes a day!). It can be done on your schedule, no matter how busy you are.
It gets both spouses (and/or other family members) actively involved with your child and gives you a springboard from which to discuss your child's development with one another — and with your healthcare provider as needed.
By providing fun and enjoyable activities to do with your child, the program helps you develop a strong bond with each other.
The child's specific activities you receive cover every key developmental factor that is important to your child's well‑being and success in life, including:
- Large motor skills (sitting, turning over, crawling, standing and walking)
- Fine motor skills (using an eating utensil, picking up small or delicate objects, etc.)
- Cognitive abilities such as thinking, learning, and solving problems
- Social and emotional milestones (ability to express their own emotions and respond to social interactions)
- Communication and language (verbal and non-verbal communication skills)
